Send your first email campaign
Sender, list, and send.
Sender
Before you write the campaign, be clear who is sending. The sender should be an address you control (ideally @yourcompany) and that your contacts recognize.
- Go to Email marketing in the dashboard.
- Open sender or sending identity settings.
- Add the name people will see (your brand or your name) and the from address.
- Complete any verification the dashboard asks for that domain or email.
Without a verified sender, delivery can be blocked or land in spam. Do this first.
List
- Create or choose a contact list.
- Import only people who gave you permission (customers, subscribers, leads who asked for info).
- Check that emails are spelled correctly and free of bulk duplicates.
- Start small: a short list for the first campaign lets you learn with less risk.
Do not buy lists. They hurt your reputation and usually break good practices.
Send
- Create a new campaign: clear subject, short content, one call to action.
- Choose the sender and the list.
- Send a test to your own email and review it on mobile.
- When it looks good, schedule or send the campaign.
- Afterward, check opens or bounces in the campaign summary if the dashboard shows them.
Your first campaign does not need to be perfect. It needs to be honest, useful, and sent to the right audience.
Tip
Save a subject line that worked. Next time you start from something people already opened, not from scratch.
