The apex record, the subdomain record and the www CNAME go out first, because the certificate is validated against DNS.

We request and install the certificate
The server issues the certificate for your site's host and starts serving over HTTPS. If DNS hasn't propagated, we retry.

You watch it from the panel
You see the covered domain, the expiry date and the days remaining, with a warning under 30 and a button to reissue it.

Frequently asked questions.

How much does the certificate cost?

Nothing. The certificate is free and it's included in Starter, Pro and Business alike. There's no charge to issue it or to reissue it, and it never shows as a line on your invoice.

Do I have to enable or configure it?

No. The certificate is part of creating the site: we publish the DNS records and then immediately issue and install the certificate for your site's host. There's no CSR to generate, no keys to store and no files to upload.

What happens as expiry approaches?

Each issue lasts 90 days and the panel always shows the days remaining, with a clear warning under 30. Whenever you want it reissued, the renew button does it right away, without touching or interrupting the site.

What if issuing fails?

It's almost always because DNS hadn't propagated yet, so we retry on our own. If it still doesn't work, your site stays published and the certificate is flagged as errored: we never show you a padlock the server didn't confirm. You retry from that same screen.

Does it work if I connect my domain later?

Yes. Every site is born with a free subdomain already encrypted, and when you connect your domain we publish its records and issue the certificate for the new host. If you later change the site's domain, the certificate is reinstalled on its own.

Can I upload my own certificate?

Not today. We issue domain-validated certificates, the ones every browser recognizes and which cover practically any website. There's no upload of your own certificates and no extended-validation ones: each site has its own, issued for the host you published.
